The Worship Planning Committee is a visioning group that meets according to the seasons of the church year. Their primary responsibility is to help lead God’s people into worship. The members of the committee discuss ways to make our worship services accessible and meaningful, and they help give feedback and suggestions to our Rector and Worship Coordinator. While some of the conversations are quite practical (“Do we need to use communion stations for this particular service?”), other discussions become quite thoughtful as we explore theology and liturgy.
Membership on this committee is open to anyone at Grace. Many members are part of the music ministries here at Grace, but the Altar Guild, LEM’s and the writers of the Prayers of the People are also represented, as are people who worship regularly at the 5:00 and 8:00 services. The next scheduled meeting will be Sunday, October 26, after the 10:00 worship service in LL5.
