Dear People of Grace,

The Stewardship Ministry helps the disciples of Grace Church to pray, reflect, and act on each individual’s call to grow in Christ. We emphasize giving our time, talent, and money as a way of drawing closer to God.

This fall we begin with gratitude. We will celebrate World Gratitude Day on the weekend of September 19/20. God, through the Holy Spirit, provides all things to us, so we can serve God and the world. You will hear other members tell their stories of gratitude. Please pray and reflect, then fill out and bring the enclosed card naming God’s gifts for which you are grateful. Add your card to the Gratitude Wall in the Parish Hall or drop it in the offering plate at worship.

Next we are holding a Ministry Fair after all three services on September 26/27. You will see a myriad of ministry opportunities here at Grace and learn how you can answer God’s call in tangible ways. What will you commit to doing this year? Will you serve as a usher at worship? Feed the hungry? Share the love of Christ through music and song? Grow the next generation of disciples by teaching at Sunday school? Work in the office? Come to the Ministry Fair and find your ministry.

Finally we will make our financial pledge to the mission and ministries of Grace, after a time for spiritual renewal with a focus on prayer and thanksgiving. Giving is a spiritual discipline and a way to grow in our faith and trust of God’s provision. Watch for more information and insights as we walk toward Commitment Weekend on November 14/15.

May God continue to bless you in all things, as together we build God’s Kingdom through gratitude, service and giving.

Yours in Christ,

Dave Eitland for the Stewardship Ministry
