Food Pantry feeds the hungry

Call for appointment: Mondays and Fridays from 9am to 11:30am.

Appointments begin:  Mondays and Fridays at 12 noon, and finish at 1:30pm.

Location: The food pantry is located in the brown building off the alley parking lot.

Mission: The mission of Grace Episcopal Church Food Pantry is to serve the needy by providing basic food for the hungry and responding to emergencies of those with inadequate resources.

Services: We provide a three-day basic emergency food supply to those requesting our services.  All children of clients receive a snack bag with 5 healthy snacks in it.

History/Highlights: Each year, we provide for an ever increasing number of clients, especially children. At present we serve approximately 45 to 50 people at each distribution. We are thankful for the continuing support and donations of members and friends of Grace Church, other churches in the area, the Oleson Foundation, Fresh Food Partnership and Food Rescue. We appreciate the number of volunteers who help to pick up and transport food, stock the pantry shelves and distribute food.

Contribution: Coffers typically run low in summer, even though food drive resources continue to fill the pantry. Please consider donating food and/or money to keep the pantry solvent. The number of clients does not diminish during the summer and families with children increase because they are home for more meals in the summer.

Volunteers Opportunities: The pantry can always use volunteers, including youth
